Diesel-U-Music International Contest

I just discovered this interesting looking music producing competition for newcomers to participate in, check it out!

"Diesel and Sony present the Diesel-U-Music Awards 2006, an international music contest open to unsigned artists playing rock, urban/hip-hop and electronic music. Diesel-U-Music has been internationally supporting the very best of the unsigned and unseen underground talents since 2001-getting them out of their bedrooms and garages and into the spotlight of the music industry.

This year the competition is supported by Diesel, Sony, and Billboard, who have joined forces to provide young talents the maximum exposure to the key players of the music industry and to a wide audience of music fans around the world. There are three different music genres: Rock, Urban/Hip Hop, and Electronic. Entries will be distributed in six categories: Belgium, Japan, Italy, UK, USA and Around the World.

Each of the 18 winning acts from the different Diesel-U-Music categories will travel to London for the Diesel-U-Music International Awards show. It is here the panel of judges, made up from around the globe, will announce the best international act in each genre and the result of the Public Vote. Winners will have the possibility to perform live in London next October and get massive media exposure through the network of partners supporting the contest."

Hi and why....

So here it is. My blog.

Since I write a bunch of stuff in the net on other sites, in my favorite forum www.logicuser.de/forum and am involved in developing a cross media festival; www.TWEAKfest.ch I decided I could might as well start my own blog - as an experiment on one hand and for sharing news, my thoughts and views on the other... or maybe just for the sake of having the bloody thing... ;-)

I will be bloggin on my favorite topics here; music on DAW's, Audio hardware and software as well as other interesting hard- and software, the surroundings of the so called "Digital Lifestyle", news on these topics, software reviews, some independent journalistic output of tech/music/digital art events that I visit and so on... maybe some gibberish or personal outcries at times too... hey I'm only human as well...

So let's see if I can take this thing anywhere, or if it will go belly up and find its destiny in the depts of web 2.0 nirvana...
